First ever Miss Burundi 2008

In the first ever Miss Burundi 2008 beauty pageant, Miss Alida Kaneza, won the title Miss Burundi 2008. Alida Kaneza received a brand new sofa set from GTS and a make-over paint job for her parent's home by Groupe Ladak. She also got a new wardrobe and a monthly salary for the duration of her reign.

The 1st runner up, Miss Evelyn Nkurunziza and the 2nd runner up Miss Panafrica Marie Claire get to fly Air Burundi to Entebbe and Kigali respectively. Miss Congeniality was Miss Ornella Muhimpundu.

It is still undecided if Miss Burundi will debut internationally in Miss World 2009, the 59th Miss World beauty pageant, to be held in South Africa. Miss Alida Kaneza will be represent Burundi.
