Miss Universo Uruguay 2009 Candidates

Miss Universo Uruguay is a pageaent that started in 2004. The pageant send candidates to several pageants. They are Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, Miss Earth, Miss Tourism Queen International, Miss Globe International, Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss Continente Americano, Reinado Internacional del Café, Miss Leisure and Miss Maja Mundial. In the pageant, each candidate represent a department and the national capital.

Miss Universo Uruguay 2009, the 6th Annual Miss Universo Uruguay pageant will be held Febuary 28, 2009, at Room Corad Montecarlo Hotel in Punta del Este, Uruguay. The winner will be crowned by outgoing titleholder Miss Universo Uruguay 2008, Paula Díaz of Canelones.

The winner will be the representative for Uruguay at the Miss Universe 2009, Reina Hispanoamericana 2009 and Miss Continente Americano 2009.

The first runner up will enter Miss Tourism Queen International 2009.
The second runner up will enter Miss América Latina 2009.
The Best Departemental Costume would be used in Miss Universe.
